I am still using the version 1.1 that was given away some time ago. I have missed the other times this has been offered with newer versions. As well, this program (in my opinion) holds the quality of the image intact in its altering of it's size. Overall I find this a wonderful and simple program that DOES offer other benefits to it's simplicity if you dig into the settings. This also makes it hard for me to decide what is a fair price that this should be offered at, but since people and bills have to be paid I am sure there is a middle ground that would be more appropriate. I do think that the $19.99 price is high for this program since as I stated before, there are many other programs that do this as well as a multitude of other functions as well (and many of those are even free). It offers a fast way to take an image that you like and shrink/enlarge it to fit the requirements that those sites make. Simple things like making an icon or profile picture on any of the social media sites, forums, or even if you use Steam or one of the other gaming programs. The drag and drop function makes it perfect for what I use it for and for the average user. YET, this is one of the few photo programs that I leave the shortcut on my desktop instead of in a separate folder.

I am not a professional by far and will be the first to admit that this is a basic program that I am sure there are others that do this as well as many other things too. I am in the process of downloading this version now, but basing this off of the older one that I am still using.
Although this program is not 'feature packed' it does what it claims quickly, cleanly, and well.

Many more successes TeoreX and continuous improvements in minimizing distortions. Looks like TeoreX took all of it on board, all these time consuming tricks, and made it more like a "child's game":) - mostly behind the scenes, but giving us much contrail with objects, etc. Trouble is - "thinning" (resizing really) usually comes as "all, or nothing", and as we know - the areas of interest don't always apply to the whole picture! No more resizing pictures manually to obtain that effect, or fiddling with tubes?. When while ago some Programs started introducing possibility of clever "thinning" of the whole picture - it was that first big "wow", lol. Those of us long enough in the "biz" - know what kind of tedious job it used to be, or can be to remove someone, or object from a picture and naturally rebuild that "empty" area afterwords to look "normal"., or trying to plant something "resized" back into a photo after creating a stamp, or a tube out of an object in the picture. Hi, Picture manipulation, trickery, magic? - call it what you may, this Software, like it's sister Inpaint - delivers just that!

If you can't afford $20 than maybe you should keep that to yourself! Would it be great if everything was free? Maybe to you but not to the person who spent months/years coding the soft! I find most software here to be at a very reasonable price. (Off topic) Also I notice many comments complaining about the prices of the software which is given away here. You could use freeware like the gimp (mentioned) or (way superior to the gimp) but you will be spending more time than using iResizer. There is no other software (that I know of) that can do these adjustments so quick and easily as this. But if you are using it for reasons such as the examples on their site than it can be very impressive. the soft does exactly what they say, yes if you alter your image too much like streching the background extra wide than you will notice the distortion, which is to be expected because after all that is what you are doing.

I am amazed at the amount of comments from those who don't even know what this software is for yet seem to think they can post negative comments believing they are helping when really they are only making themselves look bad!
